The announcement will increase the number of Sommet campuses from 9 to 17 and increase its students from 6,000 to 9,000 students. This marks the start of a plan for rapid expansion in South Africa and other Pan-African developments, according to the supplier.
The partners have revealed their intention to develop an International Hotel School campus in 2021 and a SAE Institute for Creative Media Education campus, opening in 2022, in South Africa. These will be followed by four other campuses in South Africa as well as a first Kenyan campus which will open in 2023.

The two new partners will also seek to implement synergies in four key areas:
- the construction of the curriculum and the expertise of the faculty to support the expansion of the Invictus baccalaureate on which the Glion Institute of Higher Education and Les Roches (part of Sommet Education) have built their reputation
- continued development of the portfolio of culinary and pastry arts programs based on the know-how of École Ducasse
- Invictus bringing its knowledge and experience of B2B training, development and business consulting of its Summit brand
- the two partners will work together and share their knowledge, experience and vision on online education programs and platforms
