The beautiful island of St. Barthelemy was featured tonight on Channel 5’s “Playgrounds of the Rich and Famous”. Known as “the ultimate escape for the rich and famous,” Pippa Middleton vacationed there with her family.
St Barth is a French-speaking Caribbean island with stunning white sand beaches, private retreats and exclusive boutique hotels.
There are only 30 hotels on the island with only 600 bookable rooms, which helps keep the island exclusive.
“There is nothing called mass luxury,” said one of the program’s experts, explaining why celebrities love the exclusivity of the island.
Pippa Middleton isn’t the only celebrity who loves the island – Jay Z, Beyonce and Roman Abramovich are also regulars on St Barts.

When celebrities come to St Barts, “they just want to be quiet” and not be bothered by the paparazzi.
The luxury island has special meaning for Pippa as her husband James Middleton spent her childhood between St. Barts and the United Kingdom.
James is the brother of Spencer Matthews, the former Made in Chelsea star. The father of the brothers owns Eden Rock, a luxury hotel in St Barts.
It is not possible to take public transportation to Paradise Island so privileged guests can only get there by private jet.

On the program, a luxury gourmet restaurant called Bonito, famous for its French cuisine.
Pippa Middleton is a regular at the restaurant, where an appetizer costs over $ 25 and around $ 17 for dessert.
Popular dishes include fish like sea bass and mahi mahi while other offerings are veal and lobster risotto.
The island has a strong French influence and a guest said: “It’s like France, you get the beautiful beaches and the food without the c **** y attitude.”
Accommodation on Billionaires’ Game Island is extremely expensive and a villa can cost up to $ 45,000 per week.
Channel 5 followed a privileged engaged couple as they prepared for their wedding on the island paradise.
The couple chose a beach wedding and said, “An idyllic wedding destination would look exactly like this.”
Activities in St Barts include scuba diving, yachting, sunbathing and swimming with exotic sea creatures.
The island is known for its “incredible social scene” although it is very difficult to score an invitation to one of the celebrity parties.
When a big party takes place in St Barts, the shore is crowded with billionaire superyachts.
Pippa Middleton visited St Barts with her husband James and son Arthur in 2020 where they enjoyed regular trips to the white sand beaches.
She is frequently joined by her mother, Carole, and her brother, James on vacation at Eden Rock, “the ultimate escape for the rich and famous”.
